Chris Cunneen, ‘Colonialism and Historical Injustice: Reparations for Indigenous Peoples’ (2005) 15(1) Social Semiotics 59

This article considers the issue of reparations for Aboriginal people. While the main focus of the article is on reparation for the forced removal of children, the article also examines reparations for stolen wages. Cunneen suggests the 'ad hoc and piecemeal approach' with separate, state-based attempts to seek redress for stolen wages has led to 'inconsistency, unfairness and injustice' (page 76).
