This report was created to help Aboriginal people to understand the draft Basin Plan which is a plan for the sustainable management of the water resources of the Murray-Darling Basin and be involved in the final Basin Plan.

For more than two centuries, Aboriginal people have largely been excluded from water governance laws and frameworks in NSW. This exclusion has been detrimental to Aboriginal people's rights and interests.
