The second reading and debate are on page 4836-4860. This bill was moved by Captain Chaffey. The object of this Bill was to enable the Aboriginal Protection Board to function more effectively, and to safeguard the health of the Aboriginals and of the community generally. The Bill suggests that the law regarding Aboriginals in NSW should be brought into line with the law in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia in the interests of proper administration. It further proposed to add methylated spirits to the definition of 'liquor'.
